Milano, December 2011: Duric Aljosa – Enrico Furia

Is not a new attempt of creating new currencies, but a serious research for creating a new “Worth Appraisal and Exchange System”, not in monetary terms but in “Real Worth” terms. Whereas for worth we intend real riches based on the creation of new real products, opposed to financial worth, which is based on the creation of new money from nothing. The creation of new real wealth is a non-zero-based game, where every participant gain and is satisfied of his profit,  while the creation of financial wealth is a zero-based game, that is a game where for every winner there is one or more losers and the total amount of the game never improves.

Therefore, in my quality of citizen of the world, I invite all good will men to participate to this historical effort of improving ethics of humanity toward a better world:

Development Program – Worth Appraisal And Exchange System

The Worth Appraisal And Exchange System

Current global financial crisis caused by debts of a mysterious origin, which, apart from brutally devouring all national economies of this world, also causes a great suspicion in quality of basic materials that are the cornerstones of modern human civilization –

how much sense is it in negating all of that and pretending that we do not mind horrible consequences that we already bear and those even more dreadful that are bound to emerge in the future?

A question that arises is the following: Are we really stuck that deep that there is no hope for us, or something can be done after all in order to make things better?

In an interesting reflection on money and economy titled “Worth Appraisal and Exchange System” which may come as a surprise to some, Dr. Prof. Enrico Furia invites everyone to participate in a historical endeavor with an aim to improve human ethics and give their own contribution in creation of a better tomorrow for us all…

Other alternative currencies system:

An alternative currency is any currency used as an alternative to the dominant national or multinational currency systems (usually referred to as national or fiat money). Alternative currencies can be created by an individual, corporation, or organization, they can be created by national, state, or local governments, or they can arise naturally as people begin to use a certain commodity as a currency. Mutual credit is a form of alternative currency, and thus any form of lending that does not go through the banking system can be considered a form of alternative currency.

When used in combination with or when designed to work in combination with national or multinational fiat currencies they can be referred to as complementary currency. Most complementary currencies are also local currencies and are limited to a certain region.

Barters are another type of alternative currency. These are actually exchange systems, which only trade items; thus without the use of any currency whatsoever. Finally, LETSis a special form of barter which trades points for items. One point stands for one man-hour of work.

Often there are issues related to paying tax. Some alternative currencies are considered tax-exempt, but most of them are fully taxed as if they were national currency, with the caveat that the tax must be paid in the national currency. The legality and tax-status of alternative currencies varies widely from country to country; some systems in use in some countries would be illegal in others.

cesCommunity Exchange System

The Community Exchange System (CES) is a community-based exchange system that provides the means for its users to exchange their goods and services, both locally and remotely. It could also be described as a global complementary trading network that operates without money as it is commonly understood.

Unlike the conventional money-based exchange system, the CES has no physical currency. The idea that such a currency is required before any trading can take place is an ancient one and increasingly irrelevant in this day and age of computers and the Internet. Information can replace currencies and at the same time eliminate most of the problems associated with regular money.

There are many similar trading systems around the world, commonly know as Community Exchange SystemsLocal Exchange Trading Systems (LETS), Mutual Credit trading systems, Trade Exchanges or Time Banks.

Apart from using information instead of currencies to facilitate exchange, these exchange systems are community-focussed in order to build community and keep wealth where it is created. The CES takes this a step further by providing the means for inter-community trading, right up to the global level. (from here)

Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system. http://bitcoin.org/

Bitcoin (sign: BitcoinSign.svg; code: BTC or XBT) is a cryptocurrency where the creation and transfer of bitcoins is based on an open-source cryptographic protocol that is independent of any central authority. Bitcoins can be transferred through a computer orsmartphone without an intermediate financial institution. The concept was introduced in a 2008 paper by a pseudonymousdeveloper known only as “Satoshi Nakamoto“, who called it a peer-to-peer, electronic cash system.
